What’s New? What difference does a second make? As the last second of 2016 ticks by, a new year is ushered in. Although I once thought that our human efforts to keep track of the passage of time are all but arbitrary, I can now see why the world celebrates the New Year. It is humanity – regardless of race, religion, and creed – collectively hoping for the chance to be better.
