Layers of Light. I came across this water feature in one of the local malls. A sliver of water encased in a waterproof plastic sheath. A pump below would blow bubbles into the water, which are then lit by a strip of LED lights that change colors underneath. Since one could easily see through the display, it created a lovely contrast between the cool colors in the tank with the warm overhead lighting in the mall interior.
December Rain. Another super typhoon barreled through the northern part of the country before Christmas. These large violent storms have become more frequent lately. I remember that the two strong typhoons that made landfall over Cebu were spaced years apart, but this time we can have more than two in the same year. There is evidence that points to the role that aggravated global warming plays in climate change. It just astounds me how people can still deny its existence. Maybe it would help if we relocated these people to my part of the world during typhoon season.
A Holiday Blur. I’ve been in limbo this Christmas season. Not quite into the spirit of things, but not completely out of it as well. Before I know it, this quasi-vacation will end and the grind of the work week resumes. But I still hold out hope for the chance to shift my focus and save what remains of the holiday.
*For this photo-a-day project, I will be posting thrice a week. Photos shot from Monday to Wednesday will be posted on Thursday, photos from Thursday to Saturday will be up by Sunday, and my selection from Sunday will be posted on a Monday.
