A Photo a Day — Edge

Today’s assignment* is all about using straight edges in an image..

A tropical depression is currently making its way through the southern part of Cebu. And although I still find myself at work as classes in the tertiary level have not been suspended, I was not able to shoot anything new for today’s assignment. Thus, I will have to dig into my archives for what is hopefully the last time.

The picture above is part of the ramp that snakes its way up the floors of the Philip van Engelen building of the university. I shot this last September as the school emptied out into the downtown campus gymnasium for the annual Intramurals. I had the luxuries of both time to compose my shots and locations that were practically devoid of people.

There was something eerie, but also quite serene about the walk through the university I had that day. I may just make it an annual thing.

*This series of  Photo-a-Day posts are the result of my having signed up for Blogging U.’s Photography 101 course, which requires all participants to post a photo a day from November 3 to November 28. A theme is assigned daily, which one then interprets, shoots and posts all within a 24-hour timeframe.
