A Photo a Day — Swarm

Today’s assignment* is to fill the frame with a swarm.

The row of boats that line the shore and litter the nearby sea is probably more of a fleet than a swarm. I opted to have them create a framing element instead of having them dominate the image.

The early morning scene just as the sun was rising was captured in Maribago in the island of Mactan. My wife and I are currently enjoying a long-delayed day away from the city, so I was happy to be able to do a bit of shooting during the trip.

I’m sorry to keep this brief as I have to enjoy the sun, sea and sand while we’re still here.

*This series of  Photo-a-Day posts are the result of my having signed up for Blogging U.’s Photography 101 course, which requires all participants to post a photo a day from November 3 to November 28. A theme is assigned daily, which one then interprets, shoots and posts all within a 24-hour timeframe.
