I have signed up for Blogging U.’s Photography 101 course, which requires all participants to post a photo a day from November 3 to November 28. A theme is assigned daily, which one then interprets, shoots and posts all within a 24-hour timeframe.
Today’s assignment is to show something uncertain that gives the image an air of mystery.
An upset stomach sidelined me for most of the night. The cause of which is still unknown, but I’m just thankful to have woken up feeling much better.
The vibrant colors of the late afternoon sky as the sun set beckoned to me and gave me just enough strength to go outside and shoot. I didn’t quite expect to find anything that would match the day’s theme, but I happened upon a partially open window that reflected the burning sky wonderfully.
The underexposed tones, the saturation of colors (due to a Velvia film simulation) and a hint of the curtain showing through gave the normally innocuous sight of a window a feeling of ominous foreboding.
