UnDifferent – Mik

*I discussed the premise for this whole project in a previous post.

Each of the subjects that I have made pictures of in the creation of this series will each share 3 things that they consider to be unique and distinct to their person. Once again, the point of the exercise is to allow the subjects to assert their individuality, yet find a commonality with other people at the same time.

1 — Mik, short for Mikaela, projects an unyielding facade, wherein she appears to be distant and downright intimidating. But when you actually get past the hard exterior, she is actually quite a warm and giving soul.

2 — Mik is very guarded and largely keeps things to herself. She bears the rigors of her course (B.S. Chemistry) with a certain determined grace. In moments of frustration, instead of falling into a sorry state of dejection; she spurs herself on to work even harder.

3 — Lastly, she has a soft spot for her dad, who was instrumental to her decision to take up chemistry. Whether to pursue environmental law abroad or to work for the family business is a fork down the road that Mik has yet to come to.

Up next, Mona
